What do you think of the ancient Christian doctrine of Marcionism? - christian retirement

Marcionism was a popular Christian theology in the 2nd Century AD, originally developed by Marcion and other philosophers.

Marcionism basic idea is that the God of the Old Testament has a different (less) God, the God of the New Testament. The Old Testament God was vengeful, petty, vindictive, and behind the perfection of God the New Testament.

Remember, in the year 144AD (Marcion, when he began) to write, there was no official "Bible." We tend to forget that the traditional Bible was 66 pounds really is not "approved" until much later and after many discussions - St. Augustine had great debates about the books that you include in the official canon. Note that the Councils of Carthage and the Synod of Hippo? This is partly for the canonization of several books.

Argues, however, Marcion, that the books of the Old Testament in Hebrew refers to a God of creation, is simply a Demiurge, a lesser god and small - and therefore this was the reason for the existence of evil.

The new R willIt represents the arrival of the God of the universe, the God of love and redemption and retirement of the Demiurge of Creation.

Marcion also claims that one in the Old Testament is the Hebrew Bible, written for the residents of Judea Parish, but a real understanding of theology must focus on teaching the Hellenistic philosophers like Plato and Aristotle to concentrate.

It is a neo-Marcionite gaining in popularity among the more mystical Gnostic mentality.

Do you think that it is really a Heresey, or neo-Marcionists?
